The Golf Center was established in 1973 by the visionary couple Roy and Martha Gunderson, marking the inception of the first stand-alone driving range in the Mount Pleasant region. In its humble beginnings, the center focused on providing a top-notch practice facility and housing a well-curated pro shop. In 1990, a new chapter began as Ben and Kathy Gunning took over ownership, infusing fresh ideas and energy into the establishment. With their stewardship, the enterprise flourished and evolved to encompass not only a miniature golf course but also a delightful ice cream shop. Presently, The Golf Center stands as an iconic summer hotspot in the heart of Mt Pleasant, bringing joy and recreation to families and golf enthusiasts alike.
